hello, hello, remember me?

hi i'm not dead i swear!! i just don't really know what to do with this site at the moment. a lot of my focus has been on the archive site and even then i rarely have the energy to upload there. i figured i could use this blog a bit more and talk about things i've been doing and maybe upload some art that i feel like would probably clog up my art page (wips, quick sketches, kandi, maybe even sketchbook tours?). since summer break is in a couple of weeks, i'll probably work on both sites some more. i've actually been working on making an interviews page for the archive and try to find every single interview that ev/members of ev have done, which will take FOREVER since there's about 25 years worth of interviews to look for.

i have been able to find what is believed to be the first ever evanescence interview from fall 1998. an interesting thing i want to point out is that ben actually talks about an album coming out in summer 1999. this is not referring to origin, instead he's talking about a scrapped album called vanish. it's unclear how far into production they got before it was scrapped (it doesn't seem like it got far at all honestly) and the only thing that's known about the tracklist is that there was going to be a new version of understanding with strings (forever bitter that this never got released, this is one of my fav ev songs and i would kill for a strings version). i think that whatever else was going to be there ended up turning into origin, if they even got far enough to have ideas for the tracklist (which again, i doubt they got too far into). you can read more about vanish here.

anyway, i just wanted to let everyone know that i haven't abandonded this site, i just don't have a lot of ideas for it right now. i have more graphics for the archive site to upload, but it takes a lot of time and energy for me, so sit tight and check it out if you haven't already!

ps: i'll try to fix the boxes on here...eventually.
